Who are we?
We are lovers of the outdoors. Our focus is on human-powered activities (nothing motorized). We hike, run, cycle, scramble, via ferrata, snowshoe, posthole… If it’s on a trail, we do it.
- We are passionate educators. We believe that the best way to enjoy an activity is to avoid any unnecessary mistakes, discomfort, or pain (blisters are avoidable!).
- We love creating active and inclusive communities. Trail based activities are almost always made better when you get to share your experience with others!
- We believe we need more citizens and fewer consumers. We want our customers to get involved in protecting our wild places, and making our community the best it can be. While buying gear is inevitable, we want you to buy less and care more.
Our Mission
So our mission is simple (but formidable)… To equip, educate, and inspire a new generation of trail-based adventurers who care about the environment and are committed to leaving it better than they found it.
How will we do this? Well, we are starting here.
What’s this?
This is our blog. Here we’ll write about some of our experiences on trails around the world. We’ll talk about:
- hiking, running mostly, and occasionally some of the other trail based activities
- the gear we use
- the trails still on our bucket list
- cool people we’re following and the cool things they’re doing
- any upcoming events we have planned
- any promotions or competitions we’re running
- ways for you to become part of the Found Outdoors community
- your trips, experiences, and takeaways from your adventures in the outdoors
So I hope that this get’s you a little excited and I hope to see you subscribe to hear about all these topics first.
My goal is to hit your inbox once a fortnight with something that will inspire you/educate you/or assist you in equipping yourself with the best product for the activity you’re seeking to undertake.
